Life, Love, and the Pursuit of Nerdiness
I love this time of year. The weather isn’t too hot, the day starts off really sunny, then clouds up in the afternoon, and everything is green. I couldn’t help but snap this picture on my way to work.

It’s actually been a very normal spring in Colorado. Plenty of rainy afternoons has actually made plant life green around these parts, which is so much better than the dull brown landscape that surrounds us here.

Three years ago today I was in Ireland, and it happened to be Bono’s 46th birthday. Sadly, Bono is now 49, but that’s not the point of this post. The point is that I went to the store today and spent a boat load on fresh foods for my week off of work. Part of that load included the ingredients to make this delicious turkey-sausage soup. At only 300 calories a bowl, it certainly was hearty and good. Especially for the rainy day that we had. But back to Ireland. While there, Brian and I searched for dinner one Sunday night and couldn’t find anything. At one pub a bartender (with a serious lisp) offered some unappetizing soup thhoup. We declined and laughed our way to McDonald’s on Grafton Street for the best fast food we ever had.
The potato in this Ireland story is only a coincidence.
I went down to the Pearl Street Mall on Friday night to have some dinner and do some shopping. The weather was dreamy. Slightly foggy, but warm. The mood was mellow and the people were kind. It was a great evening.

While walking out late from work I was struck by Spring. The tulips are gorgeous across campus and the air has that dewey springtime smell. It makes wearing sandals delightful and driving with the windows down a treat.
