One of my favorite things...
Being a girl in the summertime! Why? Because I can wear cropped pants to work. On a hot day like today, it’s so great. It’s practically like wearing shorts. The boys aren’t as lucky.
I love this particular pair and will be sad when I don't fit into them anymore. But not that sad!
One of my favorite things…
Believe it or not, I’m not the type of person who goes home from work and changes into something more comfortable. But when I do, oh man is it great. So with that in mind changing into sweatpants after wearing business attire (particularly a skirt) all day long has got to be one of my favorite things. On this particular ocassion I was in a skirt for a 10 hour day at work, it felt so good to go home and change into these pants.

This is a new addition. I have no idea how I ever read books before I had book lights. I now have two. One for downstairs reading and one for upstairs. Something about seeing the words so easily lends itself to more reading.
Say hello to Vanilla. Grape lives upstairs.

I got this logitech sounds system for Christmas. It is mobile and can run on a battery when unplugged. I love this thing. The sound is rather incredibly and I can take it to where ever I am in the house.

is breakfast from the UMC (student center). Every now and again I splurge and get the grill’s breakfast (also known as ‘the number one’). Lately, I’ve been indulging a little bit more than I probably should, but it’s just so darn good. On this particular trip I had to get the take out version, which I never like to do because I hate all that styrofoam.

When I moved into my first apartment back in 2002, I invited my friends Kim and Candice over and they brought me this beautiful Vincent van Gogh print. It was such a thoughtful present and so unexpected! To this day it sits front and center in my living room and it always makes me smile.

When I was a little girl my mom put together and painted this adorable music box for me. She used my absolute favorite Care Bear and the box plays “Talk To the Animals”. I played it all the time when I was a kid and it is by far one of my favorite things.
And by the way, today is my mom’s 54th birthday. Happy Birthday mom!

One of my favorite things…
Since I didn’t get the opportunity to take pictures when I was out and about today, I was left photographing something at home. I decided it would be nice to take a picture of one of my favorite things. So I picked my big red crocheted blanket. It’s a beast! It took me forever to crochet and a ton of yarn, but it so worth it on cold nights like this. I figure my “favorite things” might be a great feature to do for this project once a week.
