Last night me and my sibling had a date! That’s how it felt at least. We went to dinner and a movie, all on me of course because Marissa is a starving student. We went to Noodles, which was delicious as usual. Then we went to the new theater in Boulder. It’s a really nice theater. I love the little theaters in Boulder of course, but it’s nice to have a megaplex. Yeah, I’m kind of evil that way. The seating was super comfortable!

Anyway, we saw Across the Universe, which was just ok. It was fun to watch I guess, although there were some parts that were just too cheesy. Obviously the music was great, but we already knew that…it’s Beatles songs.

There was one very serious problem with this movie and that was the lead character Jude. He was far too attractive. I actually found myself getting mad at the movie for showing me someone so incredibly hot that I will never be able to have. It was irrational but genuine. The whole love story was almost invalid, because the girl just didn’t deserve him. Marissa totally agreed with me.

As if having the hottest guy ever in a movie wasn’t good enough, they had to through Bono in there too. Yeah, I know, I can’t have either of them. Bono’s part was entertaining and he did well. He had a funny accent and he actually said the word masturbate, which was weird to hear him say.

The weirdest part about seeing him in this movie though was that he wasn’t wearing an earring in his left ear like he usually does. You could see the hole where it belonged. I’ve never seen him without that earring, so it was strange. It was almost like seeing him naked.

After the movie we went back to Marissa’s house and I visited with her roommate Sarah (who is also our cousin) and her boyfriend Russell. We had a hilarious time talking about the stupid people who go to this school and who live in this town. Then Marissa ended up coming home with me and spent the night. See, kinda like a date, huh?

Mike has now left for Dallas with his family. It’s going to be lame around here until he gets back.

Meanwhile, Brian is back from Jacksonville. He called and woke me up this morning to ask me if it is normal for the computer to restart in the middle of the night. He reported that the computer system said it had performed updates and needed to restart. He got scared shitless when the sound of Windows XP restarting woke him in the night, because he had turned the speaker volume up so loud while listening to some music and never turned it down. That would freak me out too. Although, he was afraid that it had to do with ghosts. Those aren’t ghosts, it’s just Microsoft. I’m going to see if he wants to get together tonight for dinner and to watch the Office.
