Well Hello There! 

My name is Rochelle and you have stumbled upon my website. This is a space that’s almost like a scrapbook, a little bit of a rant room, a gallery of creative work, and a dash of nonsense. My life is not terribly exciting but I have a lot of creative energy that’s got to be focused somewhere. 

I’m a 30 year old IT type girl that loves technology, politics, crafts, and television. I’m loud yet shy. I have a great set of friends and an amazing family. I guess I’m pretty much your average girl, with a few quirky personality traits. I’ve been married, but that just didn’t seem to work out. My ex-husband-to-be is a great guy, but we just didn’t have a lot in common. We’re both growing and learning about who we are and what kind of partner we want, and I’m happy to say that we are good friends. So my life life is open and full of possibilities.

The past year of my life has had a lot of challenges and I’ve learned a lot. I’m still that sweet girl who tells a great story but my perspective on life has expanded. I hope you enjoy this space and that taking a peek into my mind doesn’t make you yawn.

About Nine*Poems

A lot of people ask me what “nine poems” is all about. Well, back in my college days I loved to write poetry. I still do, but not nearly as much. Back in 2001 I wrote a series of poems about everything from politics and peace to my little old love life. I titled the collection “Nine Poems”. I wanted to publish the poems online so I needed a username and a space, and that’s how it came to be. I’ve been using that username all over the Internet ever since.

1. I have a B.A. in Political Science.
2. I have two cats, Penny and Persephone.
3. I’m an Aquarius.
4. I’m half Lebanese, a quarter German, and a quarter English.
5. My middle name has a non alphabetic character in it.
6. I was voted most dramatic in my high school senior poll.
7. I’ve never gone through a formal interview or job search process before. I’ve been working at the same place for nine years.
8. As I grow older I love nature more and more. We’ve got one earth and there’s peace in going back to the basics.
9. My nicknames include Ro, Roey, and Rochellie.
