NaNoWriMo Winner!
Somehow, I’ve completely forgotten to mention or blog about how I completed the NaNoWriMo challenge. So lame of me, since it was so huge for me last month.
But indeed, I was a winner.
I hit my 50,000 words on November 29. Now I’m not nearly done with the novel itself, which makes me a bit sad, because I should have tried to meet the challenge of actually writing a short enough novel to be finished in 50,000 words, but alas, I am long winded.
So I have quite a bit more to write, but probably only 120,000 words worth max, maybe less, which is perfect. The plot is great and my writing has definitely improved in the process. I am so so so glad that I did it and I can’t wait to do it next year. The best part of the challenge was setting a goal and meeting it, starting something and finishing it, and trying something different and adapting to it well.
