Best of 09: Blog find
December 7 Blog find of the year. That gem of a blog you can’t believe you didn’t know about until this year.
This one was very hard for me, because I found so many cool blogs this year and I rely on my Google Reader like no other.
I’ve also made some great bloggy friends this year and people that I’ve gotten to know through their blogs and that has been the greatest gift.
For example, my friend Jen in Massachusetts. I have no idea how I found her blog, somehow through scrapbooking, but now I have to get my Jen fix. She’s a really cool person and I look forward to her tweets and status updates on Facebook.
Another one is another person named Jen. I actually met her through the EJami fan board I go to, and she does these great things called “Play By Plays”. See, she lives in Canada and gets Days Of Our Lives a day ahead of the U.S., so she would essentially live post what she saw on screen. It’s such a fun experience and she is truly hilarious. But when I found that she was doing Project 365 this year too, I got a glimpse into her day-to-day, with her three adorable children. Her posts became a part of my day that I looked forward to, and now I feel like I know her much better than I would have ever just through the board.
And finally, my old college buddy Danielle. A friend from a long time ago. Because of blogs we’ve been able to reconnect and it means so much to me to see her life through her blog, where without it, I wouldn’t.
So often, people say “step away from the computer and meet people face-to-face,” but I truly believe that life is way too busy and complicated to keep up all connections face-to-face, and so having this medium fills that gap.
So besides those three that I’ve found this year, I’d have to say that my favorite find was Le Love. Great stories and images about love could never be bad. Always inspirational and always one of my first click items on my Google Reader.

This is exactly why I love the internet. It has connected me with people I know I never would have the chance to meet in real life, just like you! I’ve had so much fun reading your blog and getting to know you on Facebook and Twitter!
