One of my favorite things...
Being a girl in the summertime! Why? Because I can wear cropped pants to work. On a hot day like today, it’s so great. It’s practically like wearing shorts. The boys aren’t as lucky.
I love this particular pair and will be sad when I don't fit into them anymore. But not that sad!
I had another fun day with my camera and was lucky enough to actually do something tonight, because even if you have a really great camera it helps to have a life for good old Project 365. Tonight I went to dinner with Brian at a nearby restaurant. We ordered an appetizer (thank God for flex points). I was talked in to getting some jalapenos wrapped in prosciutto and stuffed with sun-dried tomato cream cheese. Silly me. Just yesterday watched Iron Chef Morimoto choke on a jalapeno and listened to Alton Brown go off about how jalapenos aren’t water soluble:
I didn’t choke at all, but I did reach for the water like immediately. It was so hot! And of course, I could just hear Alton Brown telling me…NOT WATER SOLUBLE. But I didn’t have any Vodka and the dip only helped so much, so I pushed the truth aside and went with what I had. Needless to say, and I only ate one.
If only all my food was half as hot, I wouldn't need Weight Watchers.
Today was just one of those Sundays where you run a few errands, do a little cleaning, take a short nap, and watch some television. I even cooked a big pot of spaghetti, perfect for a Sunday night.
I’m all caught up on my Project 365 album, and I have only one more week and page left to complete the first album. Which means I’ll be saying goodbye to the Earthy Power Palette I’ve been using for all 32 pages. It’s been a great kit to use, but I am looking forward to something new!
Today was like the ultimate day for Project 365. I ended up taking over 400 photographs today (mostly because I love that continuous shooting mode). But today’s photo for the project had to be one of me, taking a photo. So I did the old take a picture in the mirror trick. If you want to see more or read about my new camera, click here. Besides taking lots of pictures I had a great Saturday. I talked to my dad for awhile, had a root beer float, and watched Arrested Development on the big tv. Can’t go wrong with that!
Apparently I hold a lens the same way I hold a glass, with my pinky poking out.
Hi! I'm Rochelle. Welcome to my blog. This is a space that’s almost like a scrapbook, a little bit of a rant room, a gallery of creative work, and a dash of nonsense. My life is not terribly exciting but I have a lot of creative energy that’s got to be focused somewhere.
