Week 2: Back at Work
Last week, eating within my points was a lot easier than the first week, which sounds like it makes sense, but I was actually worried that it wouldn’t be. For my first week I was home each day, where I could plan and take the time to prepare food and eat. This past week I had to go back to work, where I tend not to plan as well and eat out. I did pretty well in the planning department. I was able to pack my lunch for four days and bring in healthy snacks. When I did eat out, which was for four breakfasts and one lunch, I made really responsible choices.
Well, not completely. On Friday morning I went through Starbucks drive-thru and got a Cheese Danish. I didn’t scope out the points value ahead of time and found out later that it was 11 points (when I, at most, eat 7 points for breakfast). I was floored. That’s the great thing about Weight Watchers, it’s definitely an education process about food. I used to not only get the Danish at Starbucks, but a croissant as well.
So now I have lost 9.0 pounds, and I only have 2.7 pounds to lose to meet my first goal that I set up. I believe in rewards, so of course I’ve set up a reward for when I meet my first goal. I’ve decided to buy a Wii, so I can get EAS Active. It’s awesome to think that by this time next week I could have met my first goal. I know the weight comes off easy at first, and that it takes more work to keep up such high numbers, but it would be great to meet it this week.
