Penny used to live on the streets until one day she couldn’t take it anymore and decided the indoor life was for her. She showed up on Brian’s front step on a particularly cold night in October 2002. Given that she lived on the streets and ate off scraps from a nearby nursing home and wildlife, Penny knows how to get food. She also has honed her skills at begging for table scraps, which includes meowing consistently until you pay attention to her, the good old tap-tap with the paw, and trying to look so adorable that I can’t take my eyes off her.
