Apr 30 2009: Good In Bed

Apr 30, 2009 by

Tonight I finished reading Jennifer Weiner’s Good In Bed. For years, I had picked it up at bookstores, but always felt sad that the main character was fat and that her boyfriend wrote a column about it. I thought that it would hit too close to home with my own weight issues, but after reading a recent writer’s adoration about this book I decided to be brave, and I’m so glad I did. It was heartwarming, sad, and hysterical all at the same time. I have huge respect for Jennifer Weiner and her writing. I can only hope that my novel will be as entertaining as this one.

Apr 29 2009: Springtime

Apr 29, 2009 by

While walking out late from work I was struck by Spring. The tulips are gorgeous across campus and the air has that dewey springtime smell. It makes wearing sandals delightful and driving with the windows down a treat.

Apr 28 2009: Book Lights

One of my favorite things…
This is a new addition. I have no idea how I ever read books before I had book lights. I now have two. One for downstairs reading and one for upstairs. Something about seeing the words so easily lends itself to more reading.

Being that it’s “Spring” in Boulder, the weather has been all over the map. I woke up to a ton of heavy wet snow.

Good luck with the commute.

But of course by the time I left to go home, the weather was beautiful and warm-ish.

Apr 26 2009: SpotBot!

I bought a SpotBot carpet cleaner. It’s the ultimate tool for lazy people. You just put this fancy contraption over the stain and push a button. How perfectly American. So I’ve put it to good use already. Now when the cats barf I get a little excited versus pre-spotbot when I would contemplate barfing on them in retaliation.

I dare you to barf on my carpet.
