Well I made it out of last week just fine. The event was a success (at least on my end) and I got all of my project work done. I went home for the weekend so relieved and relaxed. Of course the weekend flew by like I figured it would.
A part of me wanted to go to the midnight release of Twilight on DVD, but I just can’t take the fan girls and I’ve already seen it a ton, so there was no rush. I did buy it on iTunes though (Thanks Amanda!), which released it at 10 p.m. my time anyway. I ended up getting the HD version. Holy crap. Let’s just say there is a massive difference between the version I bought versus the version I had gotten off the Internet while it was still in theaters. HUGE.

The latter version happens to have that bright spot in the corner, which is just random at that moment. It wasn’t there the whole movie, but still, the quality differences are just ridiculous.
So now it’s spring break and as I mentioned in my last post, it is truly dead on campus. I love it! My co-worker is also back, which is a relief in a lot of ways, although the other one I cover for is now in Mexico. It doesn’t matter though because it’s much more relaxed at work this week. I have Friday off, which is great. I’ll be headed down to Pueblo to see my family. It will be great to be down there as March Madness continues, so I can watch the games with my brother and dad.
Oh yeah, that’s right. I’m super into March Madness this year. How could I not be when I have to let my roomie watch it? But it’s fun to be competitive, and when you care about the outcomes to win a bet, it makes the whole sport so much more exciting. Right now we have a bet between me, my roomie, my dad, and my brother. I was doing really well and now I’m in last place. But at least I’m tied with Barack Obama, so that makes me feel better.
The only other thing to report is that I’ve been getting back into my writing, so that’s good. I’m making some great progress and I’ve had a few ideas that will help the story connect and transition better. I’m always amazed at what you can find on the Internet. I was trying to understand what it would be like to drive from London to Somerset. And then I found this video, which is just awesome. It’s a time lapsed drive from London to Somerset. I will never have the proper feel for it unless I go there personally and experience it, but these little bits help when I’m writing.
