Have you ever gone to an event or participated in something much larger and much more important than you had originally thought it would be? This was my experience when I saw Julia Fischer and the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields in Macky Auditorium. I had no idea just how lucky I was to attend this concert. The event was part of the Academy’s 50th anniversary tour. Julia is also a renowned violinist. It was a beautiful night of music. I simply thought I was going to hear a violinist play. I had no idea until I got there and read the program just how lucky I was. Before the concert, we (Mike M, Dave N, Kerry, and Pete) went to a new restaurant in Boulder called Blake Street Pub, which is actually an English Pub like place that replaced the Chilis. It was fantastic!
