Life, Love, and the Pursuit of Nerdiness
I drove down to Colorado Springs to meet up with my Mom, Michael, Marissa, and Johnny for lunch at Fargo’s Pizza. When I was a kid my mom always used to take us there and so it holds a lot of fond memories for my family. We celebrated our birthdays too. It was great and the food was so good today too!

So I didn’t take a picture yesterday. Booo! I thought about cheating and using one from a different day, but decided not to. So instead I’l show you what I was working on instead. I am very interested in learning how to use WordPress.org installations. You get so much more control over your blog and can download all of these plug ins. But of course that much customization isn’t enough for me. I’ve decided to learn how to make my own WordPress theme. It’s great because I get to use CSS and PHP, which I’m always in need of practicing. So right now I’m just in the design stages and I’ve come up with this look for my Project 365 blog.
For the past two nights I've been working on the design.
One of Penny’s favorite places to hang out is at my desk. Brian and I always joke that Penny is a shrewd business cat and that she has all these enterprises all over the nation and inventions — like Penn State, Penn Station, Penne Pasta, and even Pens. She’s one busy cat who has worked her way up from life on the streets. And in case you really wanted to know, we think Persephone comes from old money and doesn’t know the value of hard work. Yep, we’re serious dorks, but this is how we think of them.
Thankfully she doesn't have opposable thumbs. She'd take over the world.
Work has been hectic this week. I’ve had tons of meetings and I also helped implement this Microsoft software disc distribution system we started. I barely had a moment to think of anything else.
Thankfully I didn't have to burn all those discs.
Yesterday marked me and Persephone’s seven year anniversary. When I remembered that this morning I started crying before I left for work. Time flies too quickly!
